Santa Claus is coming... to town :)
i love xmas... and i kinda miss the xmas feast in london...
i enjoy the festive atmosphere where people are shopping, and decorating their homes.
it is also the time when the weather starts to turn colder and wetter.
i kinda like this year's xmas lighting in orchard, simple and nice.
i always love to capture the dazzling and mesmerizing xmas lights and decorations.
i had capture the past fond memories but
this time round... somehow.. it seems that they were just pictures.

I always love Tonkichi ever since I lay my first bite on their pork loin cutlet at their Takashimaya outlet.
Today John suggested the outlet at Orchard Central (I din noe they have one there).
The interior decoration was quite nice... with traditional japanese lanterns and antique woods.
Best part was actually their window seats that face the city. Not bad!
More selections of food choices here... they even have ramen and soba.
Service was superb ;)
Nevertheless... I still prefer the taste of the cutlet at Taka :P
Oh and they dun have the Jumbo cutlet at the Orchard Central!! (okay.... too sinful:P)

SAVA Sprint 2009
It was fast.
No time to think.
Just paddled hard and charged.
Hard 10... 20... maintenance... last charge!
Before I knew it... it was all over and we were at the finishing line panting.
It was quite an interestingly fun experience.
And you got to see other teams row... man they were really in sync.
A Red Muscato Friday Afternoon
My first time trying out the Red Muscat
Together with some pastries from Da Paolo Gastro.
Decided to 'picnic' at one of the benches along the Chip Bee Garden.
I heart the White Chocolate Chip scone with cornflakes!!
The smell was really nice after warming it up and the inside was moist and soft.
The Chocolate cake was quite good too.. it wasn't too sweet :)
Pastries from Gastro will rarely go wrong I guess.
It was nice chilling out on Fridae afternoon

Steamboat and Mooncakes 2S10 Reunion @ Irene's
TGIF... I was so sleepy that I decided to leave school at 1230pm and went home to take a nap.
Woke up... and still feeling sleepish and decided to grab a Starbucks Vanilla Latte before heading to my JC gathering.
Hahaa... and I thought I had navigated myself properly on streetdirectory.com but then I lost my way!
Couldn't find the block!!! (because the estate block numbers jumped from single digit to 3 digits!!)
I decided to took out my iPhone and GPRSed myself to her block lol!
It was fun to gather at Irene's place last night....
We had Tom Yum Steamboat specially prepared by Irene's mum (thanks auntie!!)
It was really nice! and we did lotsa catching up and gossiping
(talking abt which male celebrities are together with which male... serious??!! lol)
After dinner, we celebrated Yihan's Birthday with Mooncake hehee (how appropriate right ;) )
Liting bought us each a traditional cage piggie mooncake from HongKong!
Our final dessert... Mooncakes with chinese tea (of cos)
WOOT!!

Managed to catch up with Willie (Mr Ocean :P) and JS after our Fame Gala Premier at The Cathay.
JJ suggested to have dinner at Wild Rocket.
Nice, simple place with exquisite display of fusion food! :)
I really liked the Sze Chuan Chicken Salad! Very tasty!
JJ's friend was nice enough to prepare us a
"soya milk based soup served in a glass with 'Heh Bee Hiam' cookie" (forgot the actual name:P)
There were also Lasak Pasta, Chilli Soft-Shell Crab, and Black Sesame Ice-cream.

I hadn't been getting in touched with mandarin song for a long time that I almost forgot the beauty of it.

happy teachers' day
Although I only teach this graduating class for a few months, they are sweet to make
me a card with little of their wishes and notes and a huge cake for all the subject teachers.
Funny that they always relate me as MR SUN (the sky and the moon :S kids)
but I can't really blame them... hahaa cos that pronunciation is similar to my surname.
It feels good when your presence is felt and appreciated and their results improved.

Looking UP
it was one of the rare moments when I lied on the ground and looked up into the sky.
it happened when I was having a short rest while doing my physical training.
somehow the sight was beautiful and it gave me a sense of tranquility.
how ironic when something that was beautiful and was there all the time
and yet we often did not take a second look at it.
perhaps we did not know how to appreciate it initially
until you decided to put down everything in your mind
and enjoyed the beauty of the calm blue with an occasional splashes of pure white.
strangely, the longer when I looked it, it kinda started to stir my mind.
it made me wonder what's beyond the deep blueness sky.
in mere scientific context, it might be just a vast universe,
where the stars, planets and suns and galaxies were once born.
or there was someone, perhaps an angel
who watched over you at times.
or you tried to make out the image of your missed loved one
with the little white cotton candies in the sky.
it seems like an ever searching feeling of what was most desired to my thoughts.
occasionally, I watched a couple of birds fly pass.
how I wished that I could just soar freely high up above the sky
and for once I could look down from above
and saw that I was just part of all the small things on Earth.
that at the end of the day, things had to move on.
I wished it was just that simple.

managed to gym while bb went for his swim @ 1deg15
one afternoon after our work. one of our rare and free weekday
dinner @ the newly relocated and revamped Sushi Tei at Paragon
before heading to Orchard ION during their soft launch.
soft launch @ Orchard ION and bb had already bought a Swarovski Crystal necklace
as a belated birthday gift for a friend. the mall is huge, escalators are misleading and
toilets are hard to find. well we hadn't really finish walking the whole mall yet.
saving that till the other time.
nice soft soya bean curd in a traditional bowl at Xin Wang @ Achorpoint on
one of the saturdays with jerald and edy before our mahjong session.
we just had dinner @ ikea so in the end we din finish up the peanut toast.
tabao that as comfort food for mahjong session at night :P
my 2nd time @ Ma Maison but this time round i went to the branch at The Central last tues
it was a dinner + catching up session with dennis, jerald and edmund.
it has really been a long while since all of us meet up with each other.
i still love their hamburger steak with brown sauce.
can't wait for the BYOM party coming next!
